Digital Media Intern - The European Tour

Working as a member of the digital media team for three months during the summer between my second and third year of University. During my time at The European Tour I was able to create content europeantour.com and rydercup.com, as part of this role I gained experience in pitching story ideas and doing the research for them as well as improving my sub-editing skills. I also learnt the skill of live blogging events.

Reporter- Surrey Advertiser and Aldershot News and Mail

On a week-long placement I was able to gain a lot of experience and knowledge about writing for a newspaper. I was also able to gain more experience of Vox pops, interviewing, writing up press releases and investigative journalism.

 

Assistant Producer - talksport

On a week-long placement I was able to gain a vast amount of experience and knowledge about the production of a daily live talk show, The Colin Murray Show. During my time at talksport I was able to gain more experience in writing cues for presenters, researching as well as experiencing editorial meetings. 

 

Editorial Assistant – ITV Sport

I worked with the director for ITV Sport as part of the outside broadcast team.

 

TV Director - The Lunchbox

I directed live broadcasts of news programmes ensuring the footage was all linked together seamlessly to maintain the professional look. I had to communicate with the Editior, Camera Operators, floor manager and producers to ensure that the running of the show was smooth.

 

Writer & Editor – iCov

I have written news and feature articles, specialising in sport, for this online Coventry-based magazine.

 

Radio Producer - iCov

Being interviewed by presenters as a correspondent for segments, interviewing guests and hosting shows are some of the roles I have under taken for the Radio production.

 

TV Reporter - The Lunchbox

I have made packages for iCov TV; including match reports and general news stories. Arranging interviews with interesting people that helped to make the story complete.
